After June 13...

Monday afternoon wasn't quite what we had planned, especially for Lewen who was shaken out of the climbing tree! I hope your arm feels better now Lewen?
Our wonderful bunch of Ruma Tekau COOL kids did all the right things during, and immediately after the shakes on Monday. I was especially proud of the way you all helped each other and kept an eye on the younger children at school, well done!
We should have some more photo's up very soon, as soon as Sophie T gets our kiwaha o tenei wiki sorted.

Keep warm and safe.

Year 7 Debate v Ashley School

What a wonderful exhibition we were presented with today when our Y7 debating team (all from R10) took on Ashley School.

Here you can see the team in action... delivering their speeches and discussing their next rebuttal.
Well done team!!

Welcome from Mr Carr

Kia ora koutou, welcome to you all.
Miss Blatch has headed off last week to put the final touches to her last remaining moments as a 'DINK', and we wish her good health and a short memory for the months (and years) ahead!

Here is a new (to some) medium of communication between myself and the children of Ruma tekau, and their friends and families. It is my intention to be reasonably regular in my efforts to keep this site current, and to this end I will often 'post' tasks and activities under the Homework tab at the top. This blog will change and evolve in line with our needs and demands within the class, so keep checking back when you get a moment.

Anyone is welcome to comment on anything you see here, just click on the word 'comment' at the bottom of each 'posting', say your piece, and click 'preview'. If you're happy, then select 'post comment'. This will then come through to me for checking, before I decide if it is suitable and appropriate to be publicly displayed on the blog.

Finally, you are always welcome to contact me directly on g.carr@ohoka.school.nz

Kind regards
Grant Carr
